7 weeks until Christmas

Well its not long until we get our stocking full of coal- hopefully you get something better!  I missed last weeks entry so this week has 2 samples with instructions.

The first sample is an acetate card- Acetate is a fancy word for clear  plastic paper- AKA  overhead projector paper. I used the cheapest one I could find at  Staples.

1 Cut Acetate sheet in half- you can get 2 quarter fold cards from one piece of 8.5 x 11 Acetate.

9 weeks to Go

Here is another great card - part of my special addition series. This is a really simple card that brings out the artist in you- or the child that likes to color with Crayons!

Imgp1679 Step 1. Stamp image with Basic Black ink. you need to use a water proof ink that will not run as you will be adding a wet element to this image.

Imgp1681

Step 2. Color image in using Stampin'  Up's  Water Color Wonder Crayons. Color just like you would with regular crayons( yes you should stay in the lines)  You can fill in image dark or lightly depending on how intense you would like the color to be.

Imgp1682

Step 3. Use the blender pen to blend the crayon together. The crayons are water color paint so as you blend each color it will look like you painted the picture  in. Work on one color at a time and clean pen each time by wiping off on scrap paper.

Imgp1685

Step 4. Layer  with the designer Dashing Paper, Old Olive Card Stock and Red Ribbon. Make the main image stand out by using the dimentionals.

Thats it- very simple- but I love the Card!

10 weeks to Go

10 weeks to go until Christmas- 10 weeks doesn't seem like enough time for me!   Here is a card that was a hit at my World Card Making Day even last Saturday. Below is the instructions to make the card and a special if you wouldImgp1552 like to purchase all the items to make these Christmas
Cards.

1. Stamp Snowflake outline  with Blue Bayou ink.

Imgp1555

2. Stamp inside image with Soft Sky ink. With larger Stamps it sometime helps to stamp backwards- Lay the stamp down and place paper on top of the stamp. Rub lightly and try not to move paper. ( or use a brayer on top)

Imgp1556

3. Rub 2 way glue pen on where you would glitter. I love glitter so I covered the whole snowflake.

Imgp1557

4. Pour Glitter over top of whole card- make sure you have something to collect excess glitter.

Feature of the Month- Tapestry

My goal is to feature a style or stamp set every month. For the month of October I want to show you all the beautiful things you can create with the tapestry style sets and designer papers. I simply love the Baroque Motifs set and the Baroque double sided paper. I added the Theatre Ribbon originals and the Tagged Accents and Elements tin. I felt so creative. The best part- beause everything matches I could create so many things without having to worry about matching or coordinating. See for your self!
Imgp1504_3

Imgp1514

Many of these things were created at a reatreat I went to. It was so much easier to take just a few items along and create with the limited supplies I had. Much easier than taking everything and not knowing where to start. Thanks to Darlene for all the ideas and hosting the fantastic weekend!
